Naval Career
W. Evans, Assistant Surgeon of Pompee at the siege of Gaeta; storming of Capri and fort Licosa; and served on shore with the army at the battle of Maida. In same ship at passage of the Dardanelles, expedition to Egypt, and at Copenhagen, in 1807. Surgeon of President at the reduction of Java, in 1811; and employed on shore at the siege of St. Sebastian, in 1813. [1]Surgeon Superintendent
