              Details: From Surgeons Report - Master Peter Inglis. Surgeon John Birtwhistle. The Crusader sailed from Kingstown Ireland on 20 September 1839 with 89 adult males and 94 adult females together with 56 male children and 54 female children. Three women died on the voyage out and twelve children. Six children were born on the voyage out. The principal diseased were smallpox and tabes mesenterica. The vessel touched at no ports and the passage was 117 days.
