Details: HAMBLEDON HILL RACES. (From our Singleton correspondent.) St. Patrick's Day of 1865 will long bo pleasantly remembered by the numerous visitors to the hospitable grounds of Mr. Richard Dines, at Hambledon Hill, near Singleton. Every preparation had been made by Mr. Dines at his residence to provide for a large influx of visitors, and the tables were actually groaning throughout the day with the many good things provided by the noble hearted proprietor of Hambledon Hill. Mr. Dines' fine residence, which is not yet quite completed, was inspected by numbers during the day, and all expressed their admiration of the splendid building, and the beautiful site upon which it was erected. About half a mile westerly from the house, and adjoining Mr. Loder's Wylies Flat Estate is theHambledon Hill race-course, very nicely laid out, between a moderate ridge and the river, over slightly undulating ground. To prepare this course for running Mr. Dines had to iincur much loss of time and considerable expense, as they were the first races that had ever taken place here.

Details: Mr. Richard Dines - Our worthy towns man, Mr. Richard Dines, late of Hambledon Hill, left this district on Tuesday afternoon, for one of his stations some 300 or 400 miles in the interior. Mr. Dines wan accompanied by his family and servants, and ample provision had been made for their long journey. The spectacle was most imposing, as the expedition left Hambledon and wound slowly down the hill - to the front was Mr. Dines private carriage, drawn by four horses, followed by four two-horse buggies ; then the caravan, fitted up for poultry and other special live stock ; three well-laden bullock drays brought up the rear. There were also in the procession forty fine specimens of blood stock, requiring the active attendance of six or eight trained aboriginals. We wish Mr. Dines and his numerous dependents a fortunate journey
