Charged with general neglect of work....Mr. Phillips states...Watkins frequently neglects his work and his conduct has been frequently very improper.. I have no reason to complain against Hardigan until lately when he has become very neglectful. Sentence: Charles Watkins sentenced to 50 lashes and returned to his master. In consequence of the good character given of Hardigan and at the request of his master he is ordered to return to his master without punishment
