Government Notice Colonial Secretary s Office Nov. 27, 1828. Twenty Pounds Reward. Whereas it has been represented to the Government, that on Saturday, the 15th Instant, Mr. JAMES CHILCOT, and his Servant, were stopped by two armed Men, at Blue-gum Swamp, about 10 Miles from Colo, on the Road to Hunter River and robbed of Notes of the Bank of Australia, and Silver, to the Amount of l90, some Provisions, and two saddled Horses, one a dark Bay Stallion, and the other a light Bay Mare; This is to give Notice, that a Reward of Ten Pounds will be paid to any Person or Persons who shall lodge either of the said Offenders in one of His Majesty s Gaols it is stated, that one of the Men appeared to be an Englishman, of about 22 or 23 Years of Age ; about five Feet five Inches in Height; and a dark Complexion, with jet black Hair and Eyes; he wore, at the time, a blue Jacket, Velveteen Trowsers, and a black Hat. The other Man is an Irishman ; about 25 Years of Age; about five Feet three inches High; with light Complexion, almost sandy Hair; small Eyes, and marked with Scrofula on the right Side of the Neck; he was dressed in a Nankeen Jacket and Trowsers, and a black hat
