Details: Dr. William Spink, for many years a resident of West Maitland, where he had carried on the practice of his profession, is about to take his departure for England. Dr. Spink was Senior Honorary Consulting Surgeon to the Maitland Hospital, with which institution he has been connected for more than twelve years, and for over nine years held the position of visiting surgeon to the same institution ; and it must be a source of gratification to the doctor and his numerous friends to know that the services so cheerfully rendered in the cause of sickness and distress have not been allowed to go unrecognised. On Wednesday evening last, an address, neatly engrossed and illuminated, was presented to the doctor at the hospital, a large number of the committee and officers of the institution being present. Mr. S. Owen was in the chair, and after a few appropriate remarks, presented Dr. Spink with an address
