Details: Obituary. Died after his horse - Satellite - stumbled while jumping a hurdle crushing the doctor fatally. Born in Donaraile, Co. Cork, Ireland in 1834. Earned the qualifications in Dublin, Glasgow and London, practised in Waterford before leaving for Australia in 1857. Worked at Kilmore, Vict., before coming to Newcastle. His wife died in February and he was survived by two sons, Dr. John B. Nash and Andrew who was studying in Edinburgh and a daughter. Over 4000 people attended his funeral in Wallsend
