Details: Dr. Edward Ken Herring who has disposed of his practice in Maitland owing to ill health, has retired from the honorary medical staff of the Maitland Hospital, with which he had been associated for 14 years. During that period Dr. Herring was assiduous in his attention to the hospital and for years shared with Drs. King and Hollywood the whole of the general medical and surgical work. The committee at its last meeting placed on record its appreciation of his services and decided to send him a letter advising that his resignation had been accepted with very great regret and that the committee decided to thank him for his very great services to the institution at the same time expressing a hope that he might soon be restored to health. It was also decided to add his name to the list of life members and to thank Mrs. Herring for her services in connection with public movements to assist the hospital
