Details: Dr. Alfred John Harwood of Adamstown, died very suddenly last evening. The deceased gentleman had just returned home from his surgery at Merewether when he complained of feeling ill. He shortly afterwards fell forward, and expired in a few minutes. His partner Dr. A. H. Horsfall, and Dr. J. L. Beeston, were communicated with, but death had occurred before their arrival. Dr. Harwood who was in his fifty eighth year had been in practice in Adamstown for 18 years. He was held in affectionate esteem by the people of that district and highly regarded by his professional brethren. He held the diplomas of the Royal Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons of Edinburgh. The deceased is survived by his widow. Cause of death rupture of an aneurism near the heart
