Details: DR. HERBERT PERCY CRITCHITT GORRICK, M.D., is a member of a very old colonial pioneer family, and is the youngest son of Jacob Gorrick, of Maitland. He was born in Maitland in 1862, and received his education at a private academy, and at the Sydney Grammar School. The groundwork of his medical knowledge was imparted by Dr. Boyd, Professor Anderson, and Mr. Dixson, of the Technical College, Sydney, and in 1883 he graduated as a pharmaceutical chemist in the Hunter River district. In 1885 he proceeded to Belle Vue Hospital, New York, where he took his diploma and degree of M.D. After visiting England and many parts of Europe, he, in 1887, returned to Sydney. Dr. Gorrick has one of the most extensive practices in Tamworth, and is medical officer to the Tamworth Hospital, and to the united friendly societies. In 1883 he married a daughter of Dr. Gordon, of West Maitland
