Details: F. H. BONNEFIN, M.R.C.S.,E., and L.R.C.P., London, was born in Mauritius in 1860, educated at the Royal College in that island, and during his career he obtained three scholarships - two minor and one English scholarship in 1880 . He took honors at the junior Cambridge local examination in 1875, the following year passed the London Matriculation examination , twelve months later took his degree of B.A., London, and in 1881 passed final B.Sc ., Lon. He received his medical education at University College Hospital in that city, was qualified as a medical practitioner in 1886, came the same year to Australia, and was appointed hon. surgeon to the Newcastle Hospital in 1887. He has now established a practice in Stockton , and is also medical officer to the Stockton Colliery
